2012 Medicare Advantage PPO Plans

Why choose a Medicare Advantage Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan from BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina? With Medicare BlueSM Saver (PPO), Medicare BlueSM (PPO) and Medicare BlueSM Plus (PPO), you can get the level of coverage you need at a price you can afford.

How Does A Medicare Advantage PPO Plan Work?

It works just like any other PPO plan. You pay less when you choose in-network doctors and hospitals. With the exception of emergencies or urgent care, it may cost more to get care from out-of-network providers.

With set copayments, you know ahead of time what you owe for your doctors' visits. With Medicare Blue (PPO), it's just $25 for a primary care doctor visit and $40 for a specialist office visit. With Medicare Blue Plus (PPO) and Medicare Blue Saver (PPO), you pay only $15 for a primary care doctor visit and $25 for a specialist office visit.

Don't worry -- you can still go to an out-of-network doctor if you need one. You will just have to pay more out of your pocket.
